Ride Hailing Service Careem will now be available in Sudan:
Careem is popularly seen as the biggest rival to Uber in the Middle Eastern Region.
It offers its services in 100+ cities in 14 countries across the globe. The ride-hailing service has been a hit in countries like Pakistan, which is also where the CEO of the company is originally from.
This is an excellent initiative for a country like Sudan which is grappling with severe economic crises at the moment. Just last month, USA finally lifted sanctions from the African country.
Careem has begun operating in the city of Khartum, Sudan. The service currently has 10 employees and hundreds of people have signed up to be “Captains” for the car service.
