Japan celebrates “Pikachu Festival” and we can’t deal with all the cuteness:
If you’re a Pokemon fan and are in love with the adorable yellow Pikachu, then we suggest you add Japan to your List of ‘Go to’ places.
Japan has been celebrating a Pikachu festival since 2014.
The festival initially began as a way to celebrate the release of a Pikachu film. Since then, it has become an annual thing. The festival is called The Pikachu Outbreak.
This year the festival was celebrated from the 10th – 16th of August. The theme this year was “Science is amazing” and around 1,500 Pikachus could be seen roaming on the streets of Yokohama.
The adorable yellow creatures could be seen parading and dancing. Not only this but you can also get your hands on food shaped like Snorlax, Pikachu and even Raichu.
People attending the festival can buy Pikachu merchandise and souvenirs as well. Well, if you’ve grown up watching Pokemon like I did, attending this festival should definitely be on your bucket list.
